PINAY LIFESTYLE
Surfing the Philippine waters
During summer, both local and international tourists bask under the sun as they take pleasure in the fine, white sands of the country’s many unspoiled islands, immerse in the abundant aquatic life, explore verdant greeneries, and discover the rich and varied flora and fauna (most of which are endangered species). However, during the late months of the year, there is something more exciting to look forward in the Philippines. - Read more.

CONNECTING WITH YOUR PINAY ROOTS
I recently tried ZICO's coconut water for the first time, and after a few sips, I instantly noticed the difference in taste between ZICO and Vita Coco, and the usual Asian brand I pick up from Ranch 99. ZICO and Vita Coco present a significantly less sweeter taste than I'm used to. (Did I mention the lack of coconut meat?) Although my taste buds don't dislike ZICO, I think I'll stick with my sweeter (and cheaper) Asian brand.
So how does all this talk of coconut water and juice connect with your Pinay roots? According to an article on Business Insider, 'coconut water is changing life in the Philippines' with its 350 million coconut trees.
What's your opinion on coconut water? Have a favorite brand? Share it with me by leaving a comment! - epahayagan@ffwn.org
