Filipina Women's Network (“FWN") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand what information we gather, how we use it, what we do to protect it, and to assist you in making informed decisions when using FWN websites, mobile apps and services (hereinafter referred to as "Sites").

By accessing our Sites, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. Each time you visit our Sites, and any time you voluntarily provide us with information, you agree that you are consenting to our collection, use and disclosure of the information that you provide, and you are consenting to receive emails or otherwise be contacted, as described in this Privacy Policy. Whether or not you register or create any kind of account with the us, this Privacy Policy applies to all users of our Sites.
Most data FWN collects are used only to help us better serve you. It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that you knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, we will notify you by e-mail or a special announcement placed on our Sites.
We may collect both “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information” about you.
“Personal Information” includes information that can be used to personally identify you, such as your name, address, phone number, and email address.
When you interact with us through email, telephone or online, we collect personal data, including your name, organization name, phone number and email addess, as well as any other information that you might supply voluntarily, such as any FWN services you use and survey information.
When you create an FWN account on our Sites, FWN asks you to provide your name, organization name, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, demographic information and survey information. Similar information may also be submitted to FWN through membership applications, summit or event registrations, publication orders, subscriptions, and contest registrations. Information you provide when you create an FWN account is submitted voluntarily. You will need to log in to your FWN account when you pay for membership dues, access the members-only directory, purchase a product or service, register for an event, or make a donation, as well as when you make preferences changes to information stored in your account.
When you purchase a product or service or pay for membership dues at our Sites, we will also collect, but do not store, your credit card number and related financial information required to process your payment. We transfer your credit card data to third-party electronic payment vendors that process electronic commercial payments, as described in the Third-Party Recipients of Personal Data section of this Privacy Policy.
When you sign up for our newsletter or any other communications from us, we collect your name and email address.
How we use your Personal Information
We may use your personal information to respond to an email you sent or other inquiry or request from you, to help improve our Sites and services, to customize your experience at our Sites, and to send updates or notices about FWN and the products we offer that we think may be of interest to you.
FWN uses information from its members (including names, addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, and email addresses) for inclusion in a membership directory that is available only to FWN's members. FWN also makes member contact information available through the FWN Membership Directory to other members using its Sites and to those who register for its summits and workshops.
Credit Card Account Information. FWN does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, FWN submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse.
We may also combine this information with other generally or publicly available information to help us identify your preferences or interests. We may provide information that identifies you to third-party vendors that assist us in these activities, such as helping us fulfill your request for a product, service or information.
We will send you FWN-related announcements on occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our Sites are temporarily suspended for maintenance, or a new enhancement is released, which will affect the way you use our Sites, we might send you an email. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature.
In addition, we may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law or if you violate our Terms of Use.
“Non-Personal Information” includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you. This information is collected when you interact online with our Sites.
We track information such as the website you came from (known as the “referring URL”), your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to our Sites, your device’s operating system, the time and date of access, the specific web pages visited during your connection, and other information that does not personally identify you. We also track data such as the total number of visits to our Sites and the number of visitors to each page of our Sites.

Additionally, for some e-mails sent in HTML format by FWN through its listservs and electronic newsletters, we will collect specific information regarding what the recipient does with that email. For those emails, FWN will monitor whether a recipient subsequently clicks through to links provided in the message. Other information collected through this tracking feature includes the email address of a user, the date and time of the user's "click," a message number, name of the list from which the message was sent, tracking URL number and destination page.
How we use your Non-Personal information
In general, we use non-personal information to help us improve the Service and customize the user experience. We also aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns of the Service. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our sole discretion.
FWN only uses this information to enhance its products and distribution of those products to its members and customers. We also use this information for, among other things, the operation of the Service, to maintain the quality of the Service, to provide general statistics regarding use of the Service and for other business purposes.
We may also use this information, in aggregate form, for system maintenance and to better understand how our visitors use our website and services so that we can make them better. FWN may also share statistical or demographic information in aggregate form with third parties for marketing or research purposes. This aggregate data will not contain any information that personally identifies you.
FWN uses cookies and similar technologies to run our Sites to provide you a better browsing experience. Third-party electronic payment vendors: We use third-party electronic payment vendors to process credit card data when you purchase our products or services using credit cards.

FWN staff must abide by this Privacy Policy. Only authorized staff are permitted to have access to personally-identifiable data about users of our Sites, and that access is limited to what is reasonably needed to perform a staff member's responsibilities, such as providing updates or notices or customer service. Staff who violate our privacy policies are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
However, whenever personal data is processed, there is a risk that such data could be lost, misused, modified, hacked, breached, and/or otherwise accessed by an unauthorized third party. In addition to the technical and organizational measures that FWN has in place to protect your personal data, you should use appropriate security measures to protect your personal data. You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When we send a promotional communication to you, you can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional e-mail. Please note that notwithstanding the promotional preferences you indicate by either unsubscribing or opting out in the settings section of our Sites, we may continue to send you administrative emails including, for example, periodic updates to our Privacy Policy.
We want to be sure that we keep only the most accurate and up-to-date information about you in our records. Therefore, whenever you believe that your contact information needs to be updated, you can email us at privacy@ffwn. org to correct or update your contact information.
You may choose at any time to remove your name, phone numbers, and postal and email addresses from the lists we use to send notices or updates and elect not to receive correspondence from us by emailing us at privacy@ffwn. org.
You may request that the we refrain from disclosing to third parties the data we collect on our membership application form or any other form on which you are providing information by refraining from checking the “opt- in” box that appears on each form on which you provide information. If you have created an FWN online account on our Sites, you you can review and update your personal data or initiate account cancellation by logging in to your account and taking the desired actions.
If you reside in the European Union, you may also, under certain circumstances specified within the General Data Protection Regulation, have the right to request access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data, data portability, restriction of processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. RIGHT TO OBJECT
If you reside in the European Union, you have a right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, including profiling related to direct marketing. “Profiling” means any form of automated processing of personal data consisting of the use of personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a data subject, such as when we provide you with a specific type of direct marketing information based on information you provided us when you signed up for an FWN account (e.g, your location or organization type). If you exercise your right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes, including profiling related to direct marketing, FWN will no longer process your personal data for such purposes.
Additionally, if you reside in the European Union, you have a right to object where we process your personal data based on the legitimate interests of FWN or a third party. If you exercise your right to object where we process your personal data based on the legitimate interests, such objection may result in the cancellation of your FWN account. FWN will no longer process or share the personal data covered by your objection unless FWN has compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or sharing that override your objection or that relate to the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through our Sites. Our Sites are intended for adults. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. FWN does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18.
