    CONNECTING WITH YOUR PINAY ROOTS

Have you ever visited Food.com for some cool, new recipes to prepare for your family or friends? I know I have. As a filipina/o, you probably don't usually look for Filipino recipes on the web. But out of sheer curiosity, I typed in "Filipino recipes" in the search bar of Food.com and lo and behold! There are 384 recipes available! As I took a gander at what recipes Food.com featured, I saw that listed under the category "Most Popular Filipino Recipes" were the familiar and tasty "Baked Lumpia Rolls," "Traditional Adobo," and "Filipino Pandesal Bread"! Scrolling down the page, "Nilaga" and "Maja Blanca" were listed under the category "Newest Filipino Recipes." Have you ever contributed a recipe to Food.com or any other food/recipe website? With Thanksgiving coming up in a few weeks, have you already thought about what's on your menu for Thanksgiving dinner?
