Leaders for State Agencies, Boards and Commissions Sought

A COALITION of women’s organizations across the state, including Filipina Women's Network, will serve as a resource for finding talented women for appointments by California’s Governor-elect next fall through a project called the California Women’s State Appointment Project (CWSAP).

  • A nonpartisan meeting.
  • Get to know the newly elected Filipino Americans and the candidates in this election season.  Be inspired to hear why they ran for political office.
  • Join the discussion on why it's been challenging for our community to be represented.
  • Find out what you can do to ensure the Filipino voice is included in the political process.
  • The ins and outs of getting elected.
  • How we as a Filipino American community can continue to develop the Filipino voice.

ACTION NOW:  Find out how you or a Filipina woman you know in California can be part of the pool of Filipina women to be considered for state appointment.  This appointment initiative was one of the action items discussed at last year's Filipina Summit.
